So... 

I've officially sketched out page two of the comic. TAKE THAT ART BLOCK!!! *ahem* Right, so... I'm dyeing my hair tonight which will take a good 3 hours, so I'm going to try to finish up the comic then, so.. I'll probably post pictures tonight. In other news... I need this shirt. NEED, you hear me? NEEEEEEED.

Just f.y.i. guys, I am in fact still alive. This week just happens to be finals week for me so... yeah, I'm kinda out of commission, but I'm still reading everyone's blogs! (yay!) I have to have my 5 page comic finished by wednesday night-- that's really my biggest project right now, so its what I'm the most worried about currently. I'm going to be dyeing my hair tomorrow night though, so at least I know I'll be stuck in my house for at least 3 hours so... hopefully I can get it done then. Oh boy. 

This weekend I'm visiting my dad and step mom in GA. Yay! I wish I was staying long enough to get a chance to get a little shopping in but... I'm not. Boo :'( Oh well... better luck next time I suppose.

So....

I did something kinda dumb. See, yesterday instead of getting to go vintage-ing like we had planned, Aric and I ended up helping my dad rip the jacuzzi that was on our back porch out (when the deck was built, it was built IN to the deck), chop it into pieces and then haul it to the dump in Aric's truck. By the time we were done we just barely had time to change and make it to the show I had promised to take pictures for. 

So flash forward a few hours after the show, talk-back, and photo-call, and Aric are on our way hoping to get to the antique stores before they close at 6. It's now 5. So anyway, we stop in a vintage clothing store first because I wanted to know if they're hiring and I end up looking at clothes. Well, as I'm looking I find a Gunne Sax like..... caftan maxi dress in just my size for $35. Yeah. See, this is more of an event than it sounds because I have a 29"-30" waist and a 40" bust. See the problem? Dresses like that don't really exist. Especially not a dress from the 70s. 

So anyway, I remember I only have $28 in my checking account and that i would need to move money to get the dress, so what do I do? I walk right out of that store without even trying the dress on. So now all I can think about it that stupid dress. (Just so we're clear Gunne Sax is my favorite vintage brand and I've been coveting dresses all year.) And OF COURSE that store is closed on Sundays and is only open from 10am-6pm which does NOT work with my schedule. So this obsession is getting so bad that I'm thinking about moving the money and marching my bum right down to that store on monday instead of working two hours and trying on/hopefully buying that dress. 

I hate when this happens, don't you??

Well hello there lovelies!!

I've decided something that I'm excited about, and since I PROBABLY won't post tonight (Aric and I are going antiquing/thrifting/burrito-ing) I want to tell you about it now!

So I was sitting here doing my makeup and thinking about my day and how long it was going to be and blah blah blah and then it hit me. I'm sick of not living my life like its an adventure. It is an adventure!! We don't know EXACTLY how the day will turn out and that's the perfect recipe for an adventure story!! So. As of today I vow to talk about like life like its as exciting as it really is! Anyone want to join me in this quest to live an exciting life??

Today turned out better than expected. I ended up getting an 86% on my final in my stagecraft class, and as of now it looks like I have a 91.6% in that class which... is great since I thought I was going to fail it. YAY.  I like when things like this happen. 

I worked in the costume shop a little bit more today, I finished the masks I had been working on. I'm really excited to see them in the show on sunday (Godspell) I'll be back in the shop again tomorrow, hopefully painting more. I'm really having a blast! 

So since my last post I have slept a grand total of 45 minutes. I ended up having a panic attack while I was sleeping which was... bizarre. I've had panic attacks before, but I've never had one while I was asleep. It was really weird. I was super out of it (since I was asleep) but I kept thinking that when I was breathing in it was coming back out like there was a hole in my jaw or something. I don't know, it was really weird, all I know was I had a panic attack---while I was asleep. I think I was hyperventilating which would explain the weird feeling. I've hyperventilated before and it felt similar to what i felt this morning.

Anyway, I was going to try to get page 2 of the comic sketched out but... I'm being too indecisive, so I'm going to try to catch some "zzzzzzz"s. But I'll leave you with one of the many images I love, once again (as usual unless otherwise specified) via weheartit

4 o'clock. I guess its one of those nights...

Good morning. 

So... its now 4am and I've been up for 3 hours. Ugh. I have to get up at 7 and I THINK I could maybe sleep if I tried right now, but... at this point I don't know if its worth it. I have a final at 9am and then I'm working in the costume shop for about 5 hours, then i have class, rehearsal and a show to go to so... maybe it is worth it, but I'm planning on living off coffee tomorrow anyway. 

But yeah, sorry, enough ranting. AS YOU CAN SEE, I can't sleep. I think I got a good 3 1/2 hours in before me not feeling good woke me up. Ooooh stomach pains, how I hate thee. Don't you hate nights like this?? 

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, 

I got page 1 of my 5 page comic mostly done, now all I have to do is ink and put minimal colors on it.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. (with the exception of the moon which will be fixed later.) I think my favorite part is the starfish (starfishes?) on the left corner of the rock. I'm super excited about the jellies too because... they're going to be the fun bioluminescent kind. Also, I'm super excited I just spelled that right without the help of spellcheck. 

Kinda cool news, because of my awesome work (haha I'm really not full of myself, I swear. ) painting masks in the costume shop today... wait... yesterday, I was offered the opportunity to help the designer build/design all the masks for our production of the Greek tragedy Medea next spring. This is SO cool, you don't even know. I love love love masks and the fact that she came to me and asked without me asking her first is like... a huge deal, I honestly can't even believe it happened, but I'm really excited! 

So... I think I'm going to stop writing now haha. I'll write more later on today, some time after the sun comes up.

6 months!!

Well lovelies, today is a special day!

Aric and I have officially been together for 6 months (unofficially for about a year, but that's a long not as scandalous as it sounds type of story.) I have to say in complete honesty, he's the best thing that's ever happened to me. I love him so much! So for tonight we went to a burrito bar we had been dying to try (we pretty much live on mexican food...) annnnnd it was FANTASTIC. I'm officially in love. The burritos we're GIANT. Like... the size of.... I don't know. Something really big. A toaster!! Okay, not really, but like... I can't even think of anything to compare it to right now. But they were like six or seven inches long and like four or five inches thick. Did I mention they were giant?? They were fantastic too, I shouldn't have finished mine (I regretted it later) but it was too good to leave. Anyway, then we went and got dessert at a bakery. It was super yummy. We didn't take a picture together tonight, which i regret, but... that's okay. At least it wasn't the 1 year mark. Anyway, how are you lovelies doing tonight?

Lovelies, I hope you all have wonderful adventures planned for today!!

Today I get to clean, go to school, see the boyfriend, hopefully work on the comic a bit, and then have a study party with some friends! We have a final on Thursday for a super hard class (yuck), BUT, that just means that I don't have to go into that class  next week! I'm very excited for next friday to roll around... no more school!!!! Well... I'm taking summer courses, so no more school for a few weeks, yipee! What do you have planned for today??

I want an asian baby.

Okay, so... guys, this isn't going to be the post I wanted to make tonight, but I'm horribly disturbed by something we're talking about in class tonight. China's one child rule. Yeah. I think its so awful. I mean... I understand WHY they're doing it, but if you have more than one child you're fined HARDCORE and in some places they will not only pressure a woman pregnant with her second child, but force her to have an abortion. And evidently its illegal to tell them the gender of the baby (even the first) before the birth, however some people pay under the table to find out and if the baby is a girl they'll abort it. So... needless to say I'm so very glad I want to have an Asian baby. Aric and I have talked about it and we want to try for ourselves to have a girl (he wants a girl not a boy. yay!!!), and regardless of the first baby's gender we want to adopt an Asian baby girl. Okay, I'm done ranting now, but... I just needed to get that out. I think its such an awful thing, and I'm deeply disturbed and sad about this 30 minute video we're watching on the one child policy and male child preference. What do you guys think about this?

Weekend!!

Goodmorning my lovelies!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This weekend Aric and I went to an area about an hour and a half away from where we live and ended up going antiquing!! It was so much fun, and I officially have a new favorite antique-spot. They have so much stuff and they're really decently priced! I think we're going to try to make a trip out there once a month, and the best part is that the whole way down is all just thrift/antique stores and farmers markets. So... in other words its heaven. We didn't take any photos this weekend (boo us...) BUT, I have three photos to share with you! 

FIRST, no I am not engaged yet, I just had to put it on this hand to take the photo with my dominant hand, but anyway a new ring I found at the new favorite antique place!!! I'm in love with it. Isn't it pretty?? It was so cheap too!

and finally, Abby (a.k.a. "Bean") being WAY too cute in my bed. 

In other news, I'm redoing my room soon, I'm SO very excited about this!!! I'm pretty much ripping everything out of it and de-cluttering. Its going to be fantastic, I can't wait!! I have so many plans for it!!!! I might post again tonight of inspirations and things I want for my room!

Also, I've decided to start collecting cat-things. Like.... figurines, mugs, teapots, etc. This was all sparked by the mass of cat-cups and statues at the antique store, but most of all it was sparked by the most amazing cat teapot that I can't wait to go back and get next time we're there!!!!!!! I'm in love. Its official. Also, I'm starting my comicking final project today and I'm actually really excited. I'm going to do some character sketches and maybe start on it today (I'm going to do it children's book illustration style. SO excited.) and I'll share some picture with you!! All I can say is there's much mermaid-y goodness in your futures! I'll "see" you guys later! I'm off to get some soup and get to sketching!!

Why I've been missing lately.

Hey guys, so... I've been missing for quite some time on this blog. Here's why, I was in that show at school that I talked about, that was last weekend, that was fun but REALLY BUSY. I miss everyone, but I'm glad about having extra time and getting to see Aric again. But... right now he's really busy too, so... we're not going to get to spend much time together until school is over. Yuck. 

So here's reason number 2 why I've been missing.... I had a colonoscopy. Yes I did. 30 years too soon. I'm not going to lie and say it was a piece of cake, the procedure itself wasn't bad at all, HOWEVER, the prep work SUCKS. Oh my gosh. BUT its over now and I hopefully won't have to do it again until I'm 50. But... yeah, anesthesia... I'm not friends with it. I'm still really loopy and the procedure was at 9:30 am yesterday AND I slept most of yesterday and I went to bed at 8:30 and woke up at 6:15. Yikes. I have one more class today, but I think I'm going to skip and go home and sleep. I should have known that I would get this loopy from the drugs since I hallucinate when I take Nyquil and Benadryl. So... yeah.... I need to sleep. Desperately. Cause... I'm still loopy. I'm going to go for now though, I just wanted to post to let you know I'm alive. Technically. I'm going to try to post again today or tomorrow and actually post, not just give a little lame rambling update. Kay. That's all I got for now, pumpkins.
