Dear Mister,

I realized something today.
I sat here, sore because in my zeal to hoop I managed to hit myself in the face.
Hard.
But I digress.
I sat here sore and cold and waited impatiently for you to come home.
As I sat and waited I realized that I wished that you "coming home" meant you were coming home to me.
You have my heart.

In other news...

Here, have some art from me to you to put you in a holiday mood. (that almost rhymed. that was sort of amazing...)

Its gross out today. All humid and warm. I am not a fan at all. It looked like it was going to be gloriously gloomy today but... not so much. VERY sad. On the bright side though I just have one more class and then I get to have a ghost hunter's marathon with my boyfriend, complete with popcorn and freshly baked cinnamon buns. Lordy, I wish I had apple cider right about now. I have a massive headache, but I'm willing to deal with it and keep my wig on. Yes, I am wearing a wig. In public. Its kind of amazing. Its close enough to my own hair--shape wise, that everyone just thinks I've cut/colored my hair. I love it. Its a short black bob and its amazing. I have a feeling though I'm going to get addicted to wigs and want to wear them a lot. Oh boy. Tomorrow promises to be colder and amazing. Two of my friends are coming over and we're going to do a vampire-themed photoshoot. I'm pretty excited. I've got my fangs ready and everything! In other news, I will be dressing up as a black cat this halloween, my costume is 75% done and I'm pretty darn excited about that.

I'm sad at the moment, it won't let me center my words and well all know how much I like to do that.... *sigh* oh well.

Bye pumpkins!! <3

More autumnal ramblings.

Not sure what to say today,
Not feeling any pretty words.
Which.... is sad.
I realized today I used to be better with words,
I'm not sure what happened to me.
But I need to figure it out because its sad.
Anyway, went to Williamsburg with Aric this weekend.
It was so much fun, I love it there.
I want to move haha.
Anyway, here have some photos I took on our adventure.

Bye bye pumpkins, hope you're all having a good week!

Wooo Hooo Witchy Woman....

Sometimes I forget life keeps moving even when I feel like I'm standing still.
I'm in a strange place right now,
half of me feels like I'm moving forward and this makes me really happy,
but at the same time, I still feel stuck and stunted.
I still have two more years of school, so there's nothing I can really do about it right now, but still
.
If I could have one wish, you know what it would be?
It would be that I would be completely emerged in art.
I want to live near artist, I want my friends to be artist,
I want my family to be full of artist.
I want to breathe art, I want to drink art,
I want to my life to be art.
Enough said.
Here, have some Moon Jellies.

And, have more lyircs for the holiday season:
"Witchy Woman"
The Eagles
Raven hair and ruby lips
sparks fly from her finger tips
Echoed voices in the night
she's a restless spirit on an endless flight
wooo hooo witchy woman, see how
high she flies
woo hoo witchy woman she got
the moon in her eye
She held me spellbound in the night
dancing shadows and firelight
crazy laughter in another
room and she drove herself to madness
with a silver spoon
woo hoo witchy woman see how high she flies
woo hoo witchy woman she got the moon in her eye
Well I know you want a lover,
let me tell your brother, she's been sleeping
in the Devil's bed.
And there's some rumors going round
someone's underground
she can rock you in the nighttime
'til your skin turns red
woo hoo witchy woman
see how high she flies
woo hoo witchy woman
she got the moon in her eye

You got your spell on me baby....

So last I checked its 57°F out.
This makes me OVERJOYED!!
I love October, and cold weather and sweaters.
I think if I could have one wish it would be that I could have this weather whenever I wanted it.
I'm excited about Halloween coming up, I'm figuring out how to make my costume
(I plan on doing that next week since it is "fall break" for my college.)
I want to go take photos, and I know I say that all the time....
The cast list comes out on Friday and I'm excited.
I actually did well at callbacks so I have hope!!
I need to make my cape soon and pick apples.
I know you don't really care, but...too bad.
Pumpkins pumpkins pumpkins!!!!
Spiders spiders spiders!!!!
Bats bats bats!!!!

The time is right for a little magic, so lets go out and
make some, kay?

I got a Black Magic Woman.
I got a Black Magic Woman.
Yes, I got a Black Magic Woman,
She's got me so blind I can't see;
But she's a Black Magic Woman and
she's trying to make a devil out of me.

Don't turn your back on me, baby.
Don't turn your back on me, baby.
Yes, don't turn your back on me, baby,
Don't mess around with your tricks;
Don't turn your back on me, baby,
'cause you might just wake up my magic sticks.

You got your spell on me, baby.
You got your spell on me, baby.
Yes, you got your spell on me, baby,
Turnin' my heart into stone;
I need you so bad,
Magic Woman I can't leave you alone.

She's not alone down there.

Today I have callbacks for the part of Aunt March in the play Little Women.
I'm exhausted, not really sure how I'm going to get through this one...
I need coffee.
However, callbacks are at 8:30pm so I'm not sure that's the best idea.
But...I might do it anyway.
The weather was beautiful today.
Well... I mean that in the sense that it was cold and cloudy and windy.
I desperately need sleep and need to create
But unfortunately that will have to wait.
I want to put on crazy makeup and take dark artsy photographs.
I feel the need to go on an adventure
I want to explore and find new things.
I'm starting to think that's how I'm seeing life in general
 lately:
I need to explore and find new things.
I am incomplete.

Goodnight Pumpkins.
I missed you this weekend.
I hope all is well with you.

Il n'y avait personne dans la rue...

I made some spidery friends today.
For those of you who know me well, you know I love spiders, so this time of year makes me ecstatic.
I love to see them all scatter about busy busy busy weaving their webs.
Sometimes they remind me of when people in neighborhoods have christmas light contests.
I like to pretend that's what they're doing.
Trying to out-do one another for the Halloween season.
This weekend has the makings of one that makes me want to pull my hair out.
Tomorrow my mom wants me to shop with her, then I'm hanging out with a friend for basically the rest of the night (we're going to a music store, thrift store, taking crazy photos, and then going to a poetry reading!! so fun!!) then on Saturday I'm going on a flea market adventure, again with my mom, sunday I have choir and homework, and at some point during the weekend I need to find time to watch little women and practice for callbacks.
(I got called back for the part of Aunt March in little women)
And blog.
And sew.
Oh yeah, and sleep.
At least Saturday and Sunday are threatening thunderstorms.
Here's to hoping!!!!

How are you doing pumpkins??

...but why will you say I'm mad?

I woke up with a strange case of melancholia this morning.
All I wanted to do was nap and read and drink tea and take strange photos.
Alas, school called and I needed to answer.
The one bright portion of school was having 20 minutes of my anatomy class outside, during which a fuzzy caterpillar managed to attach itself to the back of my neck.
It was rather curious.

I want:
Tea, sweaters, scarves, hand holding, spiders, candles, candy apples, red and orange leaves, and outside naps.

On Friday I'm going thrift-store shopping, poetry hearing, and photo taking with a best friend, so that should be fun. Hopefully I'll have something fun to post then. I would write more, but I'm far too tired at the moment to think of be artsy.

The end.

Goodnight Pumpkins! Sorry no fun halloweeny pictures today, tomorrow will be better.

today was

Beautiful.
The air was crisp, a sign that autumn is coming.
I got called back for the show Little Women for the role of Aunt March, which is rather exciting.
I spent the day reading Edgar Allen Poe and being
happy.
I am ceritanly in the halloween spirit, in fact I moved my pumpkin Julius (a gift from my friend Aric!!!) into my room, hopefully pictures will be up tomorrow. Who knew a gourd could make a bedroom so festive? I do believe I am going to work on my costuming project and make myself a cup of peppermint tea, but before I go, here have a gift.

Ash's favorite words today:
cadaverously
squiggle
viscosity
autumnal
coquetries
decorum
dint
eclat
hyper-obtrusive
paroxysms
teetotum
vociferated

Kudzu is a scary plant, pumpkins!!
Look what it did to a house near where my stepmom lives
in Georgia!!

Bonjour mes amis...

Hello pumpkins!
Halloween is fast approaching, a fact that fills me with glee.
It makes me want to go around town dressed as a cat carrying a pumpkin candy holder (you know the ones we all used for trick-or-treating as kids) as my purse.
And it makes me want to go to an old abandoned house or farm or even a field and take pictures when its all foggy and cold.
I want to go dance through a forest and wear sweaters and drink hot coffee and tea.
Oh autumn I beg of you to arrive soon!!
Here, my loves, have an old picture of a spider at my Dad's cabin that I've resurrected from my files to get us all in the mood for autumn!

Love you all darinks!
